Know What Is in the Store
Track seeds, fertilisers, chemicals, fuel and harvested crops with quantities in kilograms, litres or tonnes, and deduct materials when a task is completed.
Key benefits
- Storage items by category: seeds, fertilisers, chemicals, fuel, harvested crops
- Quantity, unit and storage location per item
- Low-stock threshold per item with a warning when stock falls below it
- Materials configured on a task are deducted once when completion is confirmed
- Unit cost per item where you record it
How it works
Each storage item holds a category, a quantity with its unit, a location and an optional low-stock threshold. Materials are configured on the task that will use them. When that task is marked complete, the confirmed quantities are deducted through a single atomic database operation, so a completion cannot deduct the same material twice. Deduction only happens for materials that were configured on the task and confirmed in the completion step.
Frequently asked questions
What does CropBuddy cost right now?
The current public beta is free and no payment card is required. Future pricing and plan limits are not final yet, so we don't promise a permanent free tier.
How does material deduction work?
You configure the materials a task will use, for example 200 kg of fertiliser. When the task is completed you confirm the quantities actually used, and those quantities are deducted from storage in one atomic step. Tasks without configured materials do not change stock.
Can I track items in more than one store?
Yes. Each item has a location field, so you can separate barns, sheds and silos.
Do I get a low-stock warning?
Yes. Set a threshold per item and CropBuddy flags the item once the quantity drops to or below it.
Which units are used?
You choose the unit per item. Examples in the app use kilograms, litres, tonnes and hectares.
