How it works
CropBuddy requests US National Weather Service forecasts for your selected location or mapped field coordinates. Hourly and day/night periods keep the location's timezone and use Fahrenheit, mph and inches by default. Official NWS alerts are identified separately from CropBuddy's forecast-based freeze and strong-wind planning signals. Quantitative precipitation retains the provider's forecast windows; missing or incomplete coverage is shown as unavailable, not zero. Forecasts are not station observations, measured field rainfall or guaranteed emergency notifications. European weather coverage and notification delivery are not included.

What does CropBuddy cost right now?
The current public beta is free and no payment card is required. The planned subscription is $24.99 USD/month for 5 users, plus $1.99 USD/month for each additional user. Paid subscriptions are not available yet, and there is no launch date. Any future paid subscription requires explicit opt-in.
Where does the weather data come from?
From the US National Weather Service, requested for your selected coordinates. NWS coverage is limited to supported US locations; CropBuddy does not substitute a default city if a location is unsupported.
Are the warnings official severe-weather alerts?
Official NWS alerts are labeled NWS. CropBuddy also shows separate forecast-based freeze and strong-wind planning signals; these are not official warnings. An unavailable alert feed is explicitly marked. Always use official emergency channels for safety-critical warnings.
How far ahead does the forecast go?
Up to seven days of available hourly and day/night periods. The final day or missing values may be incomplete; CropBuddy does not pad the forecast with invented data.
